Street View for Japan and Australia

Earlier this summer, we saw the launch of Street View for the first time outside the United States, in France along the Tour De France route. Now Street View heads east to provide street level imagery in Japan and Australia.

Google Maps Mania quotes:

The full list of towns that have street view imagery in Japan is:
Osaka, Kobe, Yokohama, Saitama, Chiba, Senda, Sapporo, Hakodate, Kyoto and Tokyo.

The full list of towns with street view in Australia is:
Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Hobart, Adelaide, Cairns, Mt Isa, Canberra, Albany, Alice Springs, Rockhampton, Broome, Tamworth, Broken Hill, Karratha and Geraldton

Here’s a google maps street view of the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge in Australia

and the Yokohama Landmark Tower, which is the tallest building in Japan and ranks second in world’s fastest elevators.

Zip code finder

We all are very much aware of the importance of a zip code in any address. Sometimes, zip code makes me wonder if there is any importance to the house number or street at all, as whenever you give out an address, even if in case you may seem to forget mentioning about the zip, the other person would definitely make sure we realize the basic rules of addresses.

Cutting the crap, Zipry is a simple and neat zip code finder for the United States that takes input – the five digit zip code and gives out details such as latitude, longitude, city, county, state prefix, state name, area code and the time zone.

Although this may not be a site that you would want to visit on a daily basis, its worth keeping in mind that a simple zip finder exists…
